Munkinpure are currently endorsed by the following companies, "Zildjian Cymbals", "Drumstar Wear", "Duo Press Printing", Image Effects Promotions" and "Chantal's Hair Studio".
Munkinpure have performed alongside various South African acts, including "Cassette", "The New Academics", "Arno Carstens", "Louise Carver", "Crash Car Burn", "Allegra St Theme", "Judith", and others. Munkinpure have already performed, and continue to do so, at numerous South African Festivals, including Splashy Fen 07/08/09, "The Lucky Fish Festival, various Woodstock Festivals and others. In addition to this, Munkinpure have also performed at various venues and clubs throughout the Southern hemisphere. Some of these venues include, "The Blues Room", "Tempos", "The Tanz Cafe", "The Red Door", The Winston Hotel", "Sundowners", "Back 2 Basix", "Cool Runnings", "The Wavehouse", "The Rustic Theatre", "The Olive Lounge", "Roxys", "The Rock Bar", "Edenvale Street Cafe" and others.
Munkinpure have had featured interviews and publicity through various forms of media, including, radio, TV and printed publications, some of these include, YO T.V., Midrand Radio, TUKS FM, UJ FM, East Coast Radio, Highveld. Get it Magazine, Teen Zone Magazine, the Alberton Record, the Randburg Sun, the Kwa Zulu natal Rapport, the Southern Courier.
Munkinpure were voted, along side solo act, "J" as the "best live studio performance" by DJ Samantha on UJ FM during an acoustic set in studio, in 2007. Since then we have also performed live on Preneils acoustic Saturday sessions, also on UJ FM.
Munkinpure sold more than 2500 copies of their first independently released, self titled EP "Munkinpure" (2007 and 2008).
The band is currently in studio recording a follow up to their 2009 release, "For lack of a better word". They are currently working with producer, JP de Stefani (of Aking, Wonderboom and Van Coke Cartel fame)
Munkinpure have also started working on their first full length DVD, which will hopefully be released in early 2010. Watch this space.
